Re: Hydnangium aurantiacum ?
Carlo not tested with melzer, now I'm at work, tomorrow I will try .
When I made the cut, did not come any zele...
I think it is an immature Hydnangium aurantiacum, of them do not see the small spike in spores, habitat fits with the literature.

.... è stato trovato sotto Querecus ilex..., quindi sotto ad una quercia !
Poi ci credo poco ad un habitat così specifico !

Re: Hydnangium aurantiacum ?
Russulales.... have basidiospores with covered with an amyloid perisporium, more or less permanent.
Hydnangium aurantiacum, Spores are sometimes weakly amyloid.

Re: Hydnangium aurantiacum ?
Ciao Vasileios,
yesterday night I found at home your hypogeous…
2204 is not fully mature but I think your determination is correct !
-the spores are weakly amyloid, especially for warts even if not fully developed
-the basidia are cylindrical and bisporic
-the outer layer of the peridium is hyphal
AND
-the peridial hyphae has clamps each septum
If do you like to read, I have the new combination in Stephanospora aurantiaca proposed by Vidal in Revista Catalana de Micologia
