Psathyrella bivelata ?

Re: Psathyrella bivelata ?
Hello Darniella,
Is most likely correct. Malta is covered by bivelata.
All the best,
Andreas

Re: Psathyrella bivelata ?
Thanks Andreas, for your records, the only mismatch I found in this specimes was the spores were larger than reported:
(10.6) 10.9 - 12.2 (12.9) × (5.4) 5.5 - 6.6 (6.8) µm
Q = (1.6) 1.8 - 2.1 (2.2) ; N = 30
Me = 11.7 × 5.9 µm ; Qe = 2
I've only had one specimen.
Anyway, apart this I am having a good match with this species and the macro characters are identical.

Re: Psathyrella bivelata ?
Hello Darniella,
ok. somewhat large.
Normal: 7,5-10,5 (-11,2) x 4,5-6,7 µm, on av. 9,3-9,6 x 5,1-5,5 µm.
Maybe there are some 2-spored basidia?

Re: Psathyrella bivelata ?
Thanks - yes i think that I am seeing 2-spored basidia also in image:IMG_9745.jpg (206.44 KiB) above, at least few are distinctly so.
So two-spored basidia produce significantly larger spores.... good to know!
